Calendar dates for all our pre-Christmas events
Monday 7 December: Class 6 at the Manchester MEN Arena for the ‘Young Voices’ annual concert with massed choirs of school children from all over Manchester.
Tuesday 8 December: Key Stage 1 Nativity Play ‘Christmas with the aliens’ - not to be missed! In the school hall at 2pm. All very welcome.
Tuesday 8 December: Year 5 are at a performance of ‘Bugsy Malone’ performed by the pupils of St Cuthbert’s RC High school on Tuesday morning.
Wednesday 9 December: The Catholic children from Year 3 as well as some children from other classes will celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation in church at 2.30pm. Once again it is important that parents and carers attend if at all possible.
Thursday 10 December: Foundation stage perform their special Nativity play called ‘The Grumpy Sheep!’ at 2pm in the school hall. All are very welcome.
Friday 11 December: The School choir will be singing Carols and Christmas songs for the residents of ‘The Mews’ nursing home at 1:30pm.
Tuesday 15 December: Whole school Mass for Advent will be celebrated by Father Chris in church at 9.30am. All welcome.
Tuesday 15 December: ‘A musical extravaganza ‘ at 2.30pm in the hall guided by our specialist music teacher Jo Gent. All parents and carers are welcome to this.
Tuesday 15 December: School Disco in the hall from 6 to 8pm. Admission £1 per person. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Wednesday 16 December: The children will be enjoying a Christmas lunch in the school hall.
Thursday 17 December: Key Stage 2 concert of Readings and Christmas music presented by Classes 3,4,5 and 6. Don’t be late – it begins at 2pm in the school hall.
Friday 18 December: Our Guitar students will perform in assembly guided by their specialist guitar teacher, Mr Bond. All are welcome, commencing 9am.
School closes for Christmas on Tuesday 22 December, children to be collected at 1pm. We re-open on Wednesday 6 January, breakfast club at 8am.
