Children-in-Need
Thank you very much for all your support – we raised £151.10 for this worthy cause.

School Meals
There is a copy of the menus on the school portal in the newsletter folder. Next week will be ‘Week 2’.

Until Friday 27 November, the government are funding school meals for ALL Reception children’s meals.

Christmas Fair
Our Christmas Fair is on Friday 4 December. We are now collecting donations of books, toys, good as new, etc. so a good time to have a clear-out!!

This Friday 27 November we are having a ‘Chocolate Donation Day’ - Please could children bring in donations of chocolate towards our chocolate hamper. Thank you.

Pint Pots
The children have received a plastic pint pot. We would be really grateful if you could fill them with sweets, pencils, crayons, toiletries or small toys and return them as soon as possible as they are for our Christmas Fair. Thank you.

Eid
Eid Mabarak to all our parents and children.

Castleton Children’s Centre
The free ‘Stay and Play Sessions’ are here at St. Edward’s School every Wednesday morning 9am-10.15am. It has been really well attended and there are lots of activities for the children to do.

Reception – Ruth Miskin Resources
The Ruth Miskin sounds cards and friezes can be collected from Reception.

Reception – outdoor clothing
Please could Reception children bring wellies in a bag and a waterproof coat with them so that the children can use the outdoor provisions during wet weather.

Senior Citizens/Grandparents
On Thursday 10 December at 2.00pm, we are asking senior citizens in the community and any of the children’s grandparents if they would like to come to school to watch a performance by the children. We will be singing Christmas carols, holding a raffle and they will be given a mince pie and a drink. All welcome!

South African Visitors
We are having a visit by three teachers from our partner school in Pretoria, South Africa. They are arriving on Sunday 6 December for a week’s visit and we are looking forward very much to their visit. They will be taking part in lots of activities and team teaching in school.

Hanover Street parking
Can parents please have consideration for residents when parking on Hanover Street to pick up and drop off children.

KS1 Christmas Production [Not Reception]
This year’s KS1 Christmas Performance is on Tuesday 8 December at 2.00pm and Wednesday 9 December at 6.00pm.

The children need to back at school by 5.40pm for the performance on Wednesday 9 December.

Tickets are limited to 2 tickets per family. Young children are not allowed at the evening performance. Please fill in the slip on the back of this newsletter to order your tickets.
