Shoppers were invited for a cuppa with their local bobby at one of the town’s supermarkets.
Officers from the Castleton ward of the Rochdale South Neighbourhood Policing Team were at Tesco at Silk Street, Sudden for an evening with community members to discuss their concerns.
The event provided the team with another way to talk to members of the community about their local area and how they would like to see it improved.
PCSO Stephanie Kyle said: “It was great to be able to speak to residents in a place that was easily accessible to them. By coming directly to the community we have been able to introduce ourselves and bridge any potential gaps.
“If you can’t make it to a supermarket surgery but want to discuss an issue in your community or want some crime prevention advice or even want us to come down to where we can give a talk on crime reduction then email rochdalesouthpartnership@gmp.police.uk or call us on 0161 856 8549 or ”
