St. Mary's CE Primary School
Date published: 11 November 2009
Well done to class 4 who achieved best attendance for the week beginning 2 November with 96.6%.
Well done and congratulations to this week’s prize winners, and to all the children who gained achievement certificates for good work and behaviour.
On Monday the whole school listened to a musical performance in assembly by members of the Rochdale Music Service. It was a lively way to start the week off and everyone enjoyed the fantastic pieces that were played.
Year 5 visited Touchstones on Thursday to experience a Victorian Co-op day. The class had the opportunity to visit the recreated Co-op shop and look at their exhibition. The children could also dress up in costumes from the era and learnt how to weigh and wrap food goods using brown paper.
The non-uniform days each Friday throughout November have been going very well with plenty of donations of Christmas Fair items including bottles of all kinds and chocolates etc. Next week’s donations should be Christmas items such as Christmas cards, tags and wrapping paper.
Just a reminder that the photographer will be in school on Monday 16 November to take the school photographs. If you wish any younger siblings to be included please come into school before 8.30am.
