Next week is Anti-Bullying Week. The children will be having assemblies and PSHCE lessons to tackle this issue throughout the week. Please ask your child about what is going on. Well done to the children who were presented with the Achievement Award last week.

  • Reception: Nathan Ashurst
  • Year 1: Alisha Iqbal
  • Year 2: Holly Burrows
  • Year 3: William Lovett
  • Year 4: Corey Sandilands
  • Year 5: Hannah Baxendale
  • Year 6: Lauren Lomax

The Best Attendance Cup was awarded to Year 1 who managed to achieve almost 99% attendance. Sadly the colds and sniffles are still in school!

Next week, Year 5 are going down to Falinge CLC again, for another morning to work on our VLE. On Friday, we have a visiting speak, Mr Whitehead who is coming again to update us on the progress of our partner school in Africa. Mr Whitehead does extensive voluntary work for Water4Kids. We are also having the usual cake sale for Children in Need next Friday. Please get baking, whisking, blending and icing, all donations very gratefully received. Cakes will be on sale at break times and after school if there are lots left over, and all proceeds will go to Children in Need.

The school photographs have taken place this week, photographs should be with us before Christmas, but parents should be aware there will be strict date deadlines.

The Young Voices choir letter will be with you next week; the practising is going well, in spite of a change of words! Tickets for the parents have beaten the postal strikes so are now safely with us. There will be a comprehensive list of what will be happening on the day of the concert and what the children need to take with them so as to enjoy the day. After the heavy snow of last year anything is achievable!

We are having new guests in school, keep a look out! CLUE: Glug, glug, glug. This report is now ‘fin’ished!
