Pumpkin Capers at Woodland
Date published: 11 November 2009
Staff, parents and children at Woodland Sure Start Children’s Centre enjoyed a seasonal pumpkin party last week. Over 55 children attended the hugely popular event which saw everyone in fancy dress as witches, wizards, pumpkins, monsters and skeletons. Although the centre caters mainly for under 5’s older siblings also joined in the fun.
There were lots of activities to join in, including mask making, apple bobbing and finding insects in jelly as well as the always popular dancing games.
One parent with two children said: “What a great afternoon – a bit of fun for the children in a safe environment. We love coming to Sure Start, its well organised; the children love playing with the other children and it gives us different things to do than being at home.”
