Springhill Hospice looking for quiz lovers

For many years RMBC employee Ken Smith and his wife Angela compiled a quiz sheet that was sold in aid of the Mayor’s charity. Following Ken’s retirement the couple decided to create the quiz in aid of Springhill Hospice and last year, the first year that the Hospice became beneficiary, the ‘Quiz of many Colours’ raised £2000.

Spurred on by that success Ken and Angela’s latest brainteaser, sponsored again by Shepherd Printers, takes you on ‘A Trip to the Zoo’ and comprises a selection of general knowledge and cryptic clues, leading you directly or indirectly to the answers.

Quiz sheets, selling at just £1 each, are available from Hospice shops and Hospice Reception or by calling the Fundraising Office on 01706 649920. The prizes, sponsored by The Salon in Norden, of £70 and £30 will be awarded to the two entrants with the most correct answers. In the event of a tie, lots will be drawn to decide the winners.

The closing date for quiz entries to be received is 19 February 2010.
