Springhill High School

Date published: 06 November 2009

Congratulations to the pupils who performed at the Town Hall on the Friday before half term to help launch the virtual arts academy. One group performed a speech/ drama piece, whilst another group sang and danced to 'Jai Ho'. The day was extremely pleasurable as well as a great opportunity for pupils to perform in front of so many from the field of education and the council.

A group of pupils went to see the popular musical Joseph at the Palace Theatre, Manchester. What was particularly fantastic was the lead role of Benjamin was performed by one of our ex pupils Kevin Grogan. Kevin came into school before the show to talk about how he went from Springhill to starring in a hit musical. Thank you and well done to Kevin.

Advance warning that the Annual Guinness World Record day will be on Thursday 12 November. Any ideas what Ms Taylor will decide the event will be this year?
