Bollywood filming in Rochdale town centre
Date published: 26 October 2009
Anyone visiting Rochdale Market today may have wondered what was going on as a film crew took action shots of dancers in and amongst the stalls.
The film crew belonged to local actor and filmmaker Zafar Iqbal, who is filming his latest Bollywood movie 'My Big Fat Love Story' at locations in the town centre this week.
Mr Iqbal said: "This is a fresh but yet still very exciting historical cinematic ride that will make you laugh, cry, dance, and celebrate love as never before. This film will contribute to the recognition of Rochdale and North of England locally, nationally and internationally as a creative and vibrant region."
