Year 5 presented a class assembly on the theme of 'Change' to the whole school and large numbers of family members on Friday (16 October). They talked about the changes in technology in Victorian times and also the television Digital Switchover, which will happen in the near future.
Star Awards for the week were presented to Vanessa Webb, Anya Wiese, Halle Greenwood, Isabelle Chapman, Mary Bennett and Hasan Iqbal. Golden Awards went to Jessica Alldred, William Taylor, Olivia Rhodes, Emily Butterworth and Emelia Prabhakar. Year 5 children shared a class Golden Certificate and the winning Colour Team was Blue.
Year 2 visited the Jewish Museum in Manchester and Year 6 spent a day in Healey Dell. They enjoyed scientific and environmental activities. A visit to Helmshore Mill Museum is planned for Year 5 after half term.
