Date published: 21 October 2009
Geshe Lama Ahbay Tulku Rinpoche, a Tibetan Buddhist Monk, is visiting True Serenity Holistic Centre on Bury Road performing ‘Puja’ ceremonies for people interested in receiving a blessing.
True Serenity owner Joanne Potts explained that Martina Baker, Ahbay Rinpoche’s co-ordinator during his stay in Manchester, contacted the centre to offer the blessing opportunities. She said: “I was delighted to accept. It is a real honour for the centre and for Rochdale.
“Ahbay Rinpoche will add to the already fantastic energy in the building.”
The evenings consist of one-to-one Puja ceremonies, healing, meditation and Buddhist teaching, and focus on love, compassion and tolerance.
Ahbay Rinpoche is visiting for four evenings, the first was last night (Tuesday 20 October), the next is Thursday 22 October, and two evenings next week, Tuesday 27 and Thursday 29 October. At the time of publication bookings are still being taken.
