Healey Foundation Primary School

Date published: 20 October 2009

This bulletin is our last before the first half term of the school year ends.

The Arts Week was a huge success, and our thanks go to the staff and teachers at Touchstones Art Gallery for accommodating the groups of children throughout the week. Thanks also to GMPTE for their patience loading and unloading lots of children on scheduled buses.

Well done to the children who were presented with the Achievement Award on Friday.

Reception: Ryan Beckett

Year 1: Poppy Rana

Year 3: Harvey Doolan

Year 4: Josh Hardman

Year 5: Megan Roche

Year 6: Megan Reilly

Best Attendance (but not 100%) was Year 2.

Last week Years 3 and 5 were taken out to practice their Road Safety skills under the direction of Mr Anwar. Mr Anwar complimented the children on their knowledge of road traffic and discipline on the road. Well done.

The Superclub Holiday Club is running throughout the half term break. Parents who wish to access the club can contact school, or Supertots Nursery. The timetable of events includes Halloween activities, a trip to the Science and Industry Museum, a party and lots more. Parents who accessed the club in the summer were very complimentary about the high standard of the club and the enjoyment factor for the children.

School is closed all next week and re-opens on Monday 2 November. Dinner money for the half term up to Christmas is £59.50.

Have a safe and enjoyable break.
