Masked men steal pregnant woman's car
Date published: 05 October 2009
Two masked men threatened a pregnant woman with a knife and stole her car.
At 9pm on Wednesday (30 September) the offenders entered the woman's house on Beechfield Road, grabbed a knife from the kitchen and walked into the living room where the woman and her husband were sat.
The offenders threatened the couple and demanded the keys to a white VW Golf GTI, which was parked on the driveway.
Concerned for the welfare of his heavily pregnant wife, the husband told the offenders where the keys were.
The two men found the keys and drove off in the Golf. The car has still not been found.
The offenders are described as white, in their late teens and 5ft4ins-5ft6ins tall. One was stocky and one was slim. Both wearing dark clothing.
Detective Constable Nick Price said: "Nobody was injured during the robbery, but the couple were left shaken."
