Falinge Park High School would like to invite all current primary school Year 6 pupils and parents to our Open Day evening on Monday 5 October. Please come and visit the school from 6.45pm to 9.00pm. There will be presentations by the Head teacher in the hall at 7.00pm and 8.00pm. Guided tours during the working day are a pleasure; come and see our staff and young people at work.

The School Photographer will be in school on Monday 12 October. They will be taking photographs of Year 7 and Year 11 pupils only. A proof will be sent home via the pupils and the photographs will then be available for you to purchase via the internet or by post.

Our Year 11 pupils will be participating in a Future First event at Rochdale Town Hall on Thursday 15 October during school time. They will have the opportunity to speak to members of staff from various educational and vocational establishments and it will be a good opportunity for them to research their future pathways.

Forthcoming Netball dates are; 6 Oct FPHS V Beech House (Yrs 7&10) 13 Oct FPHS V Holy Family (Yrs 10&11), 14 Oct FPHS V Holy Family (Yrs 7,8&9) and 22 Oct Balderstone V FPHS (Yrs 9&10).

Tickets for our ‘Murder Mystery Evening’ on Friday 16 October are now available from the CEPA office, priced at £24.00 for a team of four people. The price includes, a ‘pie and pea’ supper. Places are limited, so please act quickly.

Letters for our pantomime, “Snow White and the Ice Queen” have been issued to all classes, and tickets are now available. Our two matinee performances are already nearly full! Tickets are priced at £3.00.

Year 9 and 10 pupils have been working on a performance piece titled ‘Mr Maldo Grimnak’s Great Art Crime’ for the borough wide Arts Strategy Launch. Rehearsals take place at lunchtimes and after school this week.

We would like to welcome Heather Williams from Urbis Manchester, who is working with our Year 10 Creative and Media Diploma students in lessons this week.
