Student Council elections took place on Friday 2 October. Successful candidates will be announced next week.

Last week 33 of our 6th form students started a college link programme. Students attend three different options over the year (each running for 10 weeks). The options are: Pottery, Catering and ICT Multimedia. Students have their lunch out and return to school in time for afternoon lessons.

If you have any ‘buttons’ you no longer require please could we have them. Ready Steady Cards (card craft group) desperately need some. Thanks.

KS3 students from the lilac room have been out in the community with visits to Falinge Park using the large play equipment – Well done to Reece and Stephanie. Congratulations to Robert for his swimming achievements. Year 8/9 have been investigating the salts of sodium chloride and cobalt chloride. Students of the week: Jordan N, Iram and Amir – Well done.

Last week Redwood pupils travelled to Scunthorpe to take part in a Triathlon. Although it was a long journey it was more than worth it. Their excellent behavior and sportsmanship was noted by the event organisers.

The event included a 60m swim, a 1400m bike ride and an 800m run. The day was a successful follow up to previous events such as; our own whole school Aquathon in July.
