Beech House's U11’s Water Polo team have been going from strength to strength.

On Thursday 24 September they competed in the first annual Independent Schools’ Association North of England Water Polo Tournament. They were also joined by Beech House's U10 team, made up of many first time players.

The first match saw the two teams face each other and the U11’s showed their skill and dominance, scoring first and leading the match throughout.

The final score was 8-1 to the U11’s. The U10’s only goal was scored by their player of the tournament, Toby Dodman.

Both teams faced Prenton Preparatory School from the Wirral. Beech House U10’s played hard but were much smaller than their opposition. Dodman scored two, with the final score 7-2.

The U11’s team managed only a 1-1 draw the first time round, but in a highly charged second game, they pulled out an impressive 9-5 win. Top goal scorer was George Preston, with a total score of 18 for the tournament.

Player of the tournament was Jacob Hill for his superb work in defence.

The year 4 class went to visit Touchstones Museum. They visited the new art gallery to enhance their class project on vivid imagery paintings and viewed the local studies exhibits.

This term, a number of students from Beech House were entered into the Independent Schools Association North of England Arts Festival. Congratulations to Hannah Sultan for coming second in the over 16’s category and Jacob Molyneux for coming third in the under 14’s 3D category. Well done to everyone who participated.
