PTA Meeting/AGM

Our next PTA meeting is on Monday 28 September, 6.30pm which will also be our AGM (Annual General Meeting) – please come along and help to support the PTA in raising extra money for your children - we always welcome new parents.

If you would like to be considered for Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Treasurer or Secretary but cannot attend the meeting, please contact the school with your nomination.

Breakfast Club

We have some places available for Breakfast Club. The price is £1.20 per day including breakfast – this needs to be paid daily. Please ask at the school office for details.

Foundation/Reception part-time sessions

The new Reception children are still attending school part-time until next Thursday 24 September when they will start fulltime.

School Meals increased price

School meals are now to £1.70 per day - £8.50 per week. Please send dinner money in on a Monday morning in an envelope with your child’s name and class on. Thank you.

Music Lessons

Keyboards and percussion - Monday afternoon
Brass – Tuesday lunchtime
Drums – Thursday afternoon
Guitar – Friday

Fees for this half term are £2.60 per lesson or £18.20 for the 7 week term.

Also please send any outstanding fees from last term into school as soon as possible in order for children to continue with their lessons. Thank you.

Year 4 Trip

Year 4 children are going on a trip to Queen’s Park on Monday.

Crucial Crewe

Year 6 are going to Crucial Crewe on Monday morning at 8.40am – children need to be in school by 8.40 as the coach will be leaving promptly. Children will be back in school for their lunch.

Rochdale Hornets

Rochdale Hornets are in school to do some training with year 4 children on Wednesday afternoon.

Reception Need

If anyone has any brightly coloured old umbrellas, Reception would like them for a Keyword Display. Thank you.

Castleton Children’s Centre

[0-5years old]
The ‘Stay and Play Sessions’ have started here at St. Edward’s School and will run every Wednesday morning 9am-10.15am – there is no charge for these sessions.

MacMillan Coffee Morning

We are holding a coffee morning on Friday 25 September in the dining room from 9-10.30am – please come along and support this very worthwhile charity. On that day could children please bring a donation and they will get a drink and biscuit. Thank you.

Well Done to Adam Frost 6G and his Dad Stephen, who is one of our Governors. They won a bronze award in a National Reading Competition for reading in an unusual place – watch out for the picture on the school portal.
