Last Tuesday was election day in school. We now have our Eco Committee, Rights Respecting School Team, Healthy Schools Task Group and School Council for this school year. Parents please check your newsletter for more details.

Some of the School Council have already undertaken their first duty in attending a children’s forum at Hollingworth High School.

Congratulations to Lucy Hagreen, Oliver Kay and Zach Tait who have been short listed for interviews for Rochdale Juniors Children’s Champion.

Their interviews are tomorrow (Saturday 19 September), we wish them well.

Thankyou to Mrs Pilkington who led the Maths Information Evening for Parents on Thursday. It was an enjoyable and extremely informative meeting.

Yesterday (Friday) Y6 took part in ‘Crucial Crew’ in Bury and learnt how to deal with a range of tricky situations.

Out of School Hours and Learning Activities (clubs) start on Monday. All clubs must be paid for in advance or places will be reallocated.

Parents, you should have received a flyer about our forthcoming Curry & Quiz Night (Friday 2 October). Tickets are priced £7.50 (including supper) and are available from the School Office. This is usually a really good evening with a good quiz, superb supper and licensed bar. Everyone welcome.

We hope Parents are finding the weekly newsletter useful. This will be sent home every Friday so please check your child’s bag.
