Punters pay £2.32 a pint

Pub customers in Rochdale pay an average of £2.32 for a pint of lager.

Prices range between £2.01 and £3.10 across the Granada North West TV region according to workers union GMB.

Larger Pubcos charge between £2.16 and £2.50 for a pint of lager, which is between 7p and 41p a pint above the price at a free house such as Wetherspoons.

The average price of a pint of draught standard bitter is £2.02 while the average price of a pint of premium bottled and canned lager is £2.38. This compares with the average price for Great Britain of £2.50 for lager, £2.24 for bitter and £2.54 for premium lager.

Pubfolio Ltd non-managed and not tied pubs are selling the cheapest pint of standard lager in the region at an average of £2.01 a pint. Valient sports is second selling a pint of standard lager for an average of £2.07. Wetherspoon pubs are selling the third cheapest pint of standard lager at an average of £2.09 a pint. By contrast, customers of bars of the Luminar Leisure clubs being charged an average of £3.10 for a pint of standard lager are paying most. Next most expensive is the bars at InterContinental Hotels where the price is an average of £3.08 a pint of standard lager.
