Tanker overturned at Sandbrook Park junction

A United Utilities tanker has overturned at Sandbrook Park junction (Sunday 13 September).
A United Utilities worker at the scene told Rochdale Online the driver, who was turning right off Edinburgh Way onto the A627(M) had said his brakes locked up.
Police and heavy duty recovery vehicles are at the scene.

UPDATE
The tanker overturned at around 10am yesterday morning. Edinburgh Way was closed at its junction with Manchester Road until 4.20pm.
Police are not investigating and no-one was injured during the incident.
