40-year-old woman missing from home in Heywood

Police in Rochdale are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of a 40-year-old Turkish woman who has gone missing from her home in Heywood.

Guler Korbay (01/02/67) from Pilsworth Road in Heywood, was reported missing on Friday 4 May by her estranged family, who had not seen her for around six weeks.

She is described as around 5'8" tall and of a medium build. She has dark brown, shoulder length hair and hazel coloured eyes. It is not known what she was wearing when she disappeared. She is known to have connections with the Heywood, Wigan and Manchester city centre areas.

Guler suffers from depression and it is not thought that she has any medication with her. She has not withdrawn her benefits for a couple of weeks.

Anyone who may have been in contact with Guler, who may know of her whereabouts or who has seen a woman matching her description, is asked to contact police in Rochdale on 0161 856 4646.

Detectives have traced a 40-year-old Turkish woman who was reported missing from Heywood in May 2007.

Guler Korbay (01/02/67) from Pilsworth Road in Heywood, was found safe and well in Turkey.
