Two men have been charged with an attack on a school headteacher at a restaurant on Milkstone Road.

Keiran Heakin, 57, required reconstructive surgery to his face after he was glassed at the Kapana Indian Restaurant in February this year.

A man smashed two glasses into the Burnley primary school headteacher's face during the assault.

Jermaine Carl Bullen, 26, of Albion Road, Freehold, and Ian Yuill Joseph Kelly, 24, of Bradley Smithy Close, Healey, have both been charged with section 18 assault.

They are due to appear at Rochdale magistrates court on 2 October.
