Pub landlord from Rochdale found dead
Date published: 07 September 2009
A landlord from Rochdale was found dead at his Norfolk pub after drinking more than a litre of vodka, an inquest heard.
Kenneth Inston's ashes were spread at Rochdale Football Club, alongside those of his brother and father, after he died at the Crown Pub in Costessey earlier this year.
Mr Inston was found to be more than six times the legal drink drive limit when his body was found by his ex-girlfried and business partner.
Father-of-four Mr Inston, 43, had been an alcoholic for at least year and regularly consumed more than a litre of vodka a day. He had been seeking help for his alcohol problem and had been to his doctor to seek treatment for depression.
His mother Irene, 64, lost her other son Gordon, 42, and her husband Barry, 67, two years ago.
