Healthy Futures roadshow
Date published: 28 August 2009
The Healthy Futures roadshow which has been travelling the north east of Greater Manchester for the past three months has now reached an estimated 50,000 people. The roadshow aims to update local people about changes being made to their health services. The roadshow is being run by the Healthy Futures Delivery Unit in partnership with the Patients’ Council, an independent group of local patients with long term health conditions.
The roadshows are an opportunity for people to learn about these changes first hand and to voice any concerns they may have about the Healthy Futures reconfiguration programme.
Feedback from the roadshow has provided the Healthy Futures Delivery Unit with important patient views and real life experiences that will be used to make informed decisions to help create a patient led NHS.
The next step is visiting those who couldn’t come to the roadshows, such as people living in sheltered housing.
