Date published: 27 August 2009
Oulder Hill Community School saw a rush of eager students at 10.00am today (27 August) awaiting their GCSE results.
Deputy Headteacher, Mr Collins said that all the students had "all done well" but the very top achievers on the GCSE result list for Oulder Hill include: Becky Fullalove (2 A*, 4A, 2B, C), and Jamie Graham (7A*, 2A).
High achiever, Mr Graham has done "exceptionally well" and has added reason to celebrate. The youngster has been awarded a scholarship from Eton College to study Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Geography.
Becky commented that she was “over the moon” about her results and hopes to go to Bury college to study English, Geography, Sociology and Psychology.
Two students, Hasham Iqbal and Sharoon Sheikh both achieved 10 GCSEs. Mr Iqbal commented: “I wasn’t looking forward to getting my results, I was really nervous. I am pleased with my results and overall I’m very happy. I didn’t think I’d get what I did.” The 16-year-old hopes to go on to study P.E, Psychology, English and Biology.
Mr Sheikh commented that he “could have done better” but is pleased with his achievements. He also hopes to go on to study A-levels.
