Date published: 27 August 2009
Langley Writers have made a grant application to Middleton Township Fund.
Langley Writers is a new group of 12 existing members of the recently finished Cartwheel Community Arts ‘Tell us another one’ project.
The group are seeking funding to carry on the work of encouraging more people from the Langley estate to participate in creative writing. The intent is to encourage people to try something new or revisit something from their past and promote a sense of achievement.
The group have applied for £450 which would pay for three facilitated sessions plus publicity and set-up costs.
The application will be considered at the Middleton Township Devolved Funding and Devolved Services Sub-Committee meeting on Thursday 3 September.
