Springhill Hospice Grand Masquerade Ball

Date published: 27 August 2009

To bring to an end the official celebrations marking Springhill Hospice’s 20th Anniversary year, the fundraising team at Broad Lane have organised the ‘Springhill Hospice Grand Masquerade Ball’.

This black-tie event will be held at Rochdale Town Hall on Saturday 17 October commencing with a Champagne Reception at 6:45pm followed by a five-course dinner at 7:30pm and a full evening of entertainment.

Ian Jenkins, Fundraising Manager, said: “We wanted to stage something extra special to mark such a significant milestone for the Hospice and hopefully this is going to be one event that people will remember for some time. As the name of the event suggests, we will have a theme based around the Masquerade Balls held in Venice, so we would encourage guests to wear masks

“We have some surprises in store but I can tell you that there will be dancing to live music from the fabulous swing vocalist Cole Page and his orchestra and a performance from Maxine Barrie, who won the very first series of ‘Stars In Their Eyes’ with her remarkable portrayal of Shirley Bassey.”

Tickets for the event are priced at £50 and are available during office hours from the fundraising office at the Hospice, which can be contacted on 01706 649920 - credit and debit card facilities are available.
