Votes flooding in for Employee of the Year Award

Date published: 27 August 2009

Votes are flooding in via the Rochdale Online website for the Rochdale Town Centre Employee of the Year award sponsored by Rochdale Online.

Within three days of the voting going live on the website over two hundred votes have been cast.

Suzy Woods of Rochdale Town Centre Management, organisers of the Town Centre Business awards, said: “The votes for Rochdale town centre’s Employee of the Year 2009 have been coming in thick and fast on Rochdale Online and we’re thrilled that the public are so passionate about their town’s workers.

"The nominees are getting very competitive; a handful of them have been in touch with me to try and found out where they are in the voting, but I’ve stayed tight lipped!

"It’s really important that everyone has their say on who think they deserve to win. Whether you’ve received great service from them in the past, or think their manager’s given the best reason, please take 5 minutes to vote for our new Employee of the Year.”

There is a £500 cash prize for the winner of the employee of the year award, which will be presented at the Rochdale Town Centre Business Awards Ceremony at Rochdale Town Hall on Friday 4 September.
