Youth taken back to the 'dark ages'
Date published: 27 August 2009
Key workers from the Targeted Youth Support Team, part of Rochdale Borough Youth Service, took a group of young people to visit York Dungeons.
The young people stepped back in time to experience the dark and sometimes grim history of the ancient City of York.
Live actors and special effects helped to bring to life real events such as the Labyrinth of the Lost Roman Legion, the chilling highway tale of Dick Turpin, medieval torture, and the Black Death.
A spokesperson said: "This was a unique learning experience that was both fun and frightening, and one which will certainly not be forgotten for a long time!"
