New Smallbridge practice opens its doors
Date published: 21 August 2009
A new GP practice in Smallbridge is now open to the public.
The practice at the Ralph Williams Centre on Stevenson Square is currently registering new patients.
The Smallbridge practice is the first of five new GP services planned for the borough this year.
The practice provides all routine GP services such as check ups and tests but also has a focus on cardiovascular disease, hypertension, diabetes, stop smoking and weight management, as well as providing a Choose and Book service which allows patients to choose what hospital they wish to attend for treatment.
The practice provides appointments between 8.00am and 6.30pm Monday to Friday, as well as between 8.00am and 12.00pm on Saturdays.
Work is currently underway at the new practice at Morrisons on Kingsway, which will be opening in November.
