Rochdale Christmas Lights
Milnrow residents were left scratching their heads and checking their calendars this week as Council workers put up this year's Christmas lights.
A full four months before the festival, residents were shocked to see images of Santa Claus and holly hanging from lamposts.
The Council says that the lights have been put up 127 days before Christmas so that they can be used in several faith's seasonal celebrations, such as Eid, Diwali and Hannukah.
The Council plans to have lights up throughout the town by 19 October.
