Ex Detective set to Deter Counter Fraud for PCT

Ex ‘Fraud Squad’ Detective, David Parker, who is still dedicated to bringing fraudsters to justice, is set to keep a watchful eye over Rochdale, Heywood and Middleton Primary Care Trust staff.

An experienced investigator serving for over 30 years in the Police he has a successful track record of tackling fraud and corruption.

Now David Parker has been appointed Lead Local Counter Fraud Specialist for the local PCT and is on hand to protect the organisation from becoming a victim of fraud.

He will be working closely with the PCT to ensure early detection of fraud and corruption, investigating suspicions and will be suggesting effective policies and procedures that will help prevent fraud from occurring in the future.

David Parker said: “My objective is to rid the NHS of Fraudsters, to prevent them returning to re-offend, to recover losses and to gain appropriate conviction and sanctions. All suspicions of fraud that are referred to me will be thoroughly investigated.”

Anyone wishing to report suspicions of fraud or corruption are advised to notify officials by telephoning the NHS Fraud and Corruption Reporting Line on 0800 0028 40 60. All information is held in the strictest of confidence! All calls are dealt with by trained staff and investigated by professionals.
