The average family throws away around £50 worth of food each month.
Rochdale Council has joined forces with all the councils in Greater Manchester to make sure you can ‘love food hate waste’ – and help you save some serious cash too!
The Love Food Hate Waste campaign aims to raise awareness of the need to reduce food waste. By doing some simple and practical everyday things in the home we can all waste less food - which will ultimately benefit our wallets and the environment too!
Visit the Love Food Hate Waste roadshow to find some handy food and money saving tips – from knowing your best buys from your use bys, getting creative and using your leftovers to make new delicious recipes, getting perfect portions, to slashing your food bills with a little help from money saving guru Martin Lewis.
10am - 3pm, Sunday 16 August, Hollingworth Lake.
