Blaze at Rochdale bus station
Date published: 14 August 2009

Fire engine.
Parts of Rochdale bus station were damaged by fire last night after rubbish in a waste bin was set alight.
A crew from Rochdale fire station quickly put out the small blaze, which started at around 11.30pm (Thursday 13 August).
The fire service is working to establish the cause of the fire. A spokesperson said that vandals purposefully setting fire to the bins was the most likely cause, but a carelessly discarded cigarette was also a possibility.
