RBH closes area housing offices

Rochdale Boroughwide Housing (RBH) has closed Littleborough and Milnrow housing offices and staff have moved to the housing office at Witley Road, Newbold, Rochdale.

The closure, which has come in for fierce critcism from tenants, came about following an RBH review looking at "providing value for money for our tenants".

RBH says this meant changing the way they provide our services to better meet tenants needs.

As a result of the review, RBH staff are now in the process of bringing Housing Officers out onto the estates more frequently to allow to deliver "a more flexible and locally-based service to our tenants". To help do this the Newbold office is not open to the public. This they say will mean they can get more staff out of the office onto the estates they serve.
