Arson attack in Shawclough

Fire fighters extinguished a fire following an arson attack involving a Ford Tipper van.
The incident occurred in the early hours of this morning (Friday 7 August) on New Street, Shawclough.
The vehicle suffered significant damage.
One appliance from Rochdale Fire Service attended the scene at 3.09am. A hose reel and breathing apparatus were used by firefighters to extinguish the blaze.
The cause has been established as deliberate, but the perpetrators are unknown.
