Superheroes in Boarshaw
Date published: 03 August 2009
Boarshaw Children’s Centre open their doors for a superhero themed day on 13 August from 1pm – 4pm.
There will real life super heroes at the centre including fire officers, community police and the road safety team to help show the superman and wonderwomen wannabes how to stay safe in the home and whilst out and about. The Road Safety Team will be demonstrating a driving machine simulator, whilst the fire men will be talking about how to be a fire hero, not a fire hazard.
Parents and children may choose to attend the session dressed as their favourite superhero as they can join in plenty of fun activities mainly aimed at children 0 – 5 years old.
A Sure Start spokesperson said: “The day promises to be a lot of fun with plenty of action and superheroes flying by. We want our little heroes to stay safe on the streets, so we have invited some of the uniformed services to help us when we’re out and about.”
