Force museum undergoes summer revamp
Date published: 29 July 2009
The Greater Manchester Police (GMP) Museum will be temporarily closed for renovation from 3 August -15 September and reopened in time for the new school term.
The archives will remain open and appointments can be made on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The museum’s outreach service will continue to operate as usual and group and school bookings can still be made for after 15 September.
The closure means some of the summer events at the museum have been rescheduled or cancelled. The visit by the Mounted Unit has been rescheduled for Tuesday 27 October 11.30-2.30pm and the ‘Courtroom Capers’ with GMP’s Stage Squad will be rescheduled for later in the year.
