Arsonists burn row of garages

Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service Fire Appliance
Fire fighters rushed to Freehold this afternoon after arsonists torched four adjacent garages.
Crews attended Ulster Avenue, off Merefield Street, shortly after midday today (Monday 13 July), after reports that a large blaze was burning all four garages.
Two appliances attended from Rochdale Fire Station, with two jets, and two breathing apparatus.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: “Four garages were set alight deliberately, we were called to the scene at just after 12.00 midday.”
