Shooting on Yorkshire Street

Shortly after 12.50am today (Friday 10 July), a man was discovered on West Street, following an incident in a flat on Yorkshire Street, with gunshot wounds to his leg.
He was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening.
A second man with gunshot wounds to his hand was discovered at Blackburn Royal Infirmary.
Part of Yorkshire Street has been closed while the incident is dealt with.
Police are making urgent inquiries into the circumstances of this incident and anyone with information should call police on 0161 856 4646 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
