Castleton Carnival
There will be a flowery theme to Castleton Children Centre's staff, parents and children as they get ready for their walking float as part of Castleton Carnival on Sunday 26 July.
Parents and children have been busy making their floral decorations, including bright coloured hand made flowers on sticks to wave in the procession.
Ruth Taylor, Communications Officer for Rochdale's Children Centres, said: "The aim is to encourage community participation, enjoy a healthy walk and most importantly have some fun as Castleton joins together for the carnival, side shows and events at Springfield Park."
The group representing the Centre will parade with the carnival procession through the streets of Castleton. The parade will finish up at Springfield Park. Anyone wishing to join the group on the parade can meet at 1pm on Sunday 26 July on the corner of Vicarage Road North.
