Police believe a taxi driver could be the key to an investigation in which a teenager was injured in Rochdale.
At 9.50pm on Saturday 6 June 2009, a house party at the junction of Manchester Road and Hareshill Road was ongoing when a 17-year-old boy jumped out in front of silver coloured Mercedes.
The driver was forced to make an emergency stop, and was subsequently hit from behind by a burgundy coloured car, possibly a Toyota Avensis, which sustained extensive damage to its offside headlight and bodywork.
It is thought this was a taxi being driven by an Asian man, but the driver failed to supply his details and drove off.
The teenager suffered a cut to his hand.
Police are now trying to locate the driver of the burgundy car and are appealing for him to come forward.
