A busy road was cordoned off after a two-car smash in yesterday’s rush hour.
Fire fighters and an ambulance attended Kiln Lane, Milnrow, at 6.00pm (Monday 6 July), after the cars collided on the steep hill, causing smashed glass to scatter across the road.
No-one was reported injured in the incident, so crews made the area safe and the road was re-opened within the hour.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: “We always arrive on scene knowing there is a chance we could be cutting people out, but thankfully there were no persons trapped.
“We disconnected the batteries on the cars to make sure they were safe, and cleaned up the mess on the road.”
“Traffic was back to normal pretty quick.”
