Janitor cleans up 'fifth Beatles' grave

A janitor at Rochdale fire station has paid a large sum of money to clean up the grave of the original Beatles bassist Stuart Sutcliffe.
Beatles fanatic Colin Unwin fixed up Sutcliffe's gravestone at Huyton cemetery in Liverpool and re-painted the lettering so that fellow fans could pay their respects.
Sutcliffe was the Beatles' original bassist and came up with the band's name before he fell in love with a German photographer and left the band to study in Hamburg.
He died of a brain haemorrhage in an ambulance in 1962 after he had collapsed during an art school lesson.
