It’s baking! Hottest day for three years
Date published: 02 July 2009
Rochdale residents sizzled yesterday as temperatures reached a three-year high.
The mercury reached close to 28C (82F), the hottest since July 2006.
But there is good news for people who are finding the heat all too much, with rain predicted overnight and cooler temperatures over the weekend.
July 2006 was the hottest month on record with temperatures tipping 30C (87F) on at least three days.
