Oulder Hill School Prom 2009

Date published: 02 July 2009

Despite the humidity and threat of a summer storm, school leavers from Oulder Hill School arrived for their prom looking cool as cucumbers.

Year-11 leavers arrived at the Village Hotel, Bury last night (Wednesday 1 July) in everything from cars and limousines to fire engines and a Grease themed ‘Pink Ladies’ motor.

Many of the pupils were sad to leave Oulder Hill, but have promising futures ahead of them.

Georgia Marriott said: “I didn’t think I’d be sad to leave school but I really am.

“Still, its exciting knowing I am going on to college to do my A levels, I’m really looking forward to meeting new people and making new friends. I’m not sure what I want to do for a job yet.”

Alex Macillhatton said: “Tonight is going to be amazing; I’ve been looking forward to it for ages.

“I’m going to a college in Manchester that specialises in dance, I want to be a dancer or a dance teacher.”

Natalie Nairn said: “I really enjoyed my time at Oulder Hill and I’m sad to leave.”
