Robber uses Facebook in prison
Date published: 26 June 2009

Kane Barratt, of Heathland Terrace, Stockport, pleaded guilty to two counts of robbery and three counts of burglary
A convicted robber who went on the rampage through Rochdale was apparently able to access his Facebook page from inside his prison cell.
Kane Barratt, 21, from Stockport, is serving five years at Lancaster prison and it is thought that he updated his profile on the popular social networking site using a mobile phone.
Barratt was part of a gang that terrorised homes in search of car keys across Bury, Stockport, Oldham and Rochdale. He was jailed after admitting two robberies and three burglaries.
