Wardle High School Prom 2009

Date published: 25 June 2009

Wardle High School chose a sunny but windswept Clough Manor Restaurant in Denshaw as the venue for this year's prom.

Classic cars were the main choice of transport rather than stretch limousines, though one group of young ladies arrived in a yellow Hummer with celebrity life coach Nik Speakman as chauffeur.

Talking to Rochdale Online, member of staff Cathy Hudson said: "I have worked at the school for twenty years and this has been a lovely year group, they have worked really hard for their exams."

Pupil Rebecca Graham said: "I have loved school, everyone has been so nice, I am sad to leave. I am going to Oldham Sxith Form College."

Oliver Felton said: "It has been an honour to have been at the school, I've really enjoyed it."I am going to Bury College to do A levels."

Apologies to the many pupils whose photo we were not able to take, sadly a misinformed teacher asked both our photographer and the Rochdale Observer photographer to stop taking photos because "you do not have parental permission" - our photographer tried patiently to explain that such permission is not needed, to no avail.
