Miller Homes Rutherford Park as seen on TV!

Date published: 05 July 2007

Miller Homes ‘Rutherford Park’ development on Halifax Road in Rochdale was like a scene from a Hollywood film set on Thursday 21 June. The development was chosen as the ideal location for the filming of a scene in the latest series of Waterloo Road, to be shown on the BBC in the Autumn.

Stars of the programme are Denise Welsh, Jason Merrells and Neil Morrissey, with the scene at Rutherford Park involving Adam Thomas as ‘Donte’ and Terrance Morran as an Estate Agent. The third series of the successful schoolroom drama ‘Waterloo Road’ is filmed around Rochdale. The new homes at Rutherford Park are featured in a scene as an up market development in the story line.

Sue Warwick, Miller Homes sales and Marketing Director, said: “When the Location Manager made contact asking for help we were delighted to be of assistance and to offer the choice of new developments Rutherford Park or Springthyme in Littleborough.”

“The ‘Adlington’ show home at Rutherford Park offered the ideal house designs and has the rooms and interior design to portray an up-market development.”

Miller Homes will be donating the location fee to charity.
