A family was evacuated from their home after a TV exploded, setting the loft ablaze.
Fire crews attended the house on Major Street, Milnrow, in the early hours of Saturday morning, after an electrical fault caused the TV to burst into flames.
A mattress and wooden furniture were destroyed in the fire, but no-one was injured.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: “We removed the family from the house, and put the fire out, which was in a loft bedroom.
“Two appliances from Rochdale Fire Station attended. Luckily, no-one was hurt.”
